Transience

The realm of transience is prettier than the known,

This state of not knowing is like ecstasy unknown.

These colorless pictures,
The empty glances,
The mystery of God,
The endless roads…

Those eyes lost in thought…
more beautiful than the perfections that exist.

Those gazes to the sky,
the sky that is without the stars,
hoping and knowing that they’d shine soon.

Taking life as a dream, with eyes closed and still a gleam.

This sense of contentment,
these moments which seldom people feel, are worth living this whole life for.

The quest, the desire just stalled for a while,
makes you feel empty and yet so complete;
As complete as wholehearted laughter,
as tears that just flow without any disaster,
as sleep which naively puts a smile on your lips,
as complete as poetry and as incomplete as poetry,
and yet so beautiful.
as an abrupt end to a flowing poetry…

So little…

I am in a space where I feel so little…

The huge, stoic and yet alive and compassionate mountains,

The lake that embodies peace and vastness,

The river that wouldn’t stop is so playful and musical,

The snow high up sends chills through your spine and yet it doesn’t fail to amaze you with its innocence,

Nature harms no one, uses no one, exploits no one,

& I feel little not only in size but in magnanimity too.

The Essence of Darkness

The dark has its own beauty,

The lights that sneak out,
like mice from the burrows.
The stars that glow,
in the dark and sleepy skies.

The resting grass and the resting men,
everything at peace and asleep,
except those eyes that saw this creation grow.

The cold night creeps up and the air is eerie and weird-yet peaceful.

Everything is asleep only to wake up in a new realm of their sleep…

A realm of dreams,
A realm of unreality,
A realm as enticing as ever,
A realm as wishful as the craving for the stars and skies…

Sway

Up and down and sideways,
In a roller coaster,
Sometimes on peaks of mountains,
Sometimes in the depths of oceans…

The mind can sway,
Sway until you loose yourself,
Sway until you fly…
Sway until you pant…

I wish I could just make it stop someday…
For a bit…make it rest…

But it is restless like a child sometimes,
And will fly and jump and take you to lands unknown…
To unreal tales…
To imaginary lands…
